Tonight the Johnson School Recycle Poster winners were honored at the Board of Ed meeting. Each student received a ribbon and was recognized for her fine effort and artistic achievements by their families, teachers and principals, the Board of Ed members, Dr. Smith, Dr. Jordan, and First Selectman Mr. Knickerbocker. It was a fantastic evening for us all!

After School Art is back for the spring. Students will enjoy painting on an unusual surface such as a birdhouse, wooden frame, tray, plaque, or other item of their choice. They will strengthen their drawing and painting skills while developing their own creative compositions. Download the form here. Forms are due by Wednesday, March 27, and classes start April 22nd.
Congratulations to the following 4th & 5th Grade Johnson School students who were named district winners in this year’s Recycle Poster contest.
In 4th Grade, Julia Krepsztul (1st place), Sela Domkofski (2nd), and Kenedy Cherniske (3rd). In 5th Grade Lily Kappes (1st place), Puneet Sidhu (2nd), and Sarah McKay (3rd). The winners will be recognized on March 21, at 7 p.m. at the Bethel Board of Education meeting. In addition, Julia is also a regional winner and will be Recognized at the Regional Awards Ceremony. She will attend another special ceremony on April 24 in Danbury. Great job everyone, and thank you for the excellent participation! |
