Congratulations to the following 4th & 5th Grade Johnson School students who were named district winners in this year’s Recycle Poster contest. The winners were honored on May 14, at 7 p.m. at the Bethel Board of Education meeting. All the children received a ribbon from Dr. Carver and Mr. Craybas, and were celebrated by school administrators, their teachers, and families. In 4th Grade, Amelia Griswold (1st place), Emily Baldwin (2nd), and Kendall Searle (3rd). In 5th Grade Evan Jaquez (1st place), Amel Hilmi (2nd), and Marcella Antunes (3rd). Great job everyone, and thank you for the excellent participation!!

Art Slam is an exhibit held at the State Capitol in Hartford, CT. It is designed to raise awareness of the art education to our state Governor and Legislature. The Connecticut Arts Education Association promotes this initiative for students Pre K - 12th grade across the state. Congratulations to 4th Grader Ellie Clayton and 5th Grader Sarae Zinnah, whose creations were selected to represent Johnson School as exemplary art works! |
