Art Slam is an exhibit held at the State Capitol in Hartford, CT. It is designed to raise awareness of the art education to our state Governor and Legislature. The Connecticut Arts Education Association promotes this initiative for students Pre K - 12th grade across the state. Congratulations to 4th Grader Ellie Clayton and 5th Grader Sarae Zinnah, whose creations were selected to represent Johnson School as exemplary art works!
I have been teaching art at Ralph M.T. Johnson School since 2001. I hope to encourage my students to use their creative experiences and become innovative explorers.
