On Tuesday, April 30, 2013 Johnson School had a very special day with fifth grader Isabelle Beers as acting Art Teacher for the day. Students learned all about Claude Monet, the founder of the Impressionistic Art Movement with it’s philosophy based upon expressing one’s perceptions and over sense of nature within their artwork. All of the students thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful day outdoors creating their chalk pastel plein-air landscapes inspired by Monet’s famous masterpieces and overall style. Thank you, Isabelle, for the terrific lesson idea and amazing art experience for all!
