Bethel students have once again shown their compassion for the environment by participating in this year's recycle poster contest, hosted by the Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority. This year’s theme was “Bags to Riches”. At the annual Regional Recycle Poster Awards Ceremony, held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, there were four students recognized for their remarkable talent and honored for their entrees. This year’s awards recipients are; Emma Norman – Kindergarten – Honorable Mention – Rockwell School Carlos M. - 3rd Grade – 3rd Place – Rockwell School McKenah S. – 1st Grade – 2nd Place – Rockwell School Rosie V. – 5th Grade – 1st Place – Johnson School Our Bethel students were selected out of over 1,500 entries, ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade, sent in by the eleven participating towns and cities that are a part of this regional contest. The 1st place Regional Winners will have their posters displayed in this Sunday’s News Times.
