March is Youth Art Month, and is a time when educators across the nation promote the visual arts and art education in our country. Congratulations to the following R.M.T. Johnson School students, Isabella Donatucci, Nicholas DeLuise, Isabelle Beers, Emelin Garcia, and Killian Mead, who have had an outstanding work of art selected to be a part of the 2013 Connecticut Art Educator’s Association Youth Art Celebration. The CAEA Youth Art Celebration is a K-12 art show for all students in Connecticut. Their work will be on display at the West Woods Upper Elementary School in Farmington CT from March 4- March 23, 2013. The show reception will be on Saturday, March 2013 from 1 – 3 p.m.

I think that all of the pictures were amazing! They have such talent! My favorite was probably Isabella Donatucci's. She put such detail into her work! It is outstanding! She is going to have to teach me how to draw!

I love how we get to have a opportunity to do our very best. We get to express our artistic and musical talents throughout the years were at Johnson. These children have shown what there' re made of. I love how you choose people with the best illustrations. Now we have kids to learn from and count on.

I can't wait for the art show to see all of the amazing work kids created! I love to see everyone's artwork displayed in the hallways. I think that Mrs. McCue has done an amazing job teaching students about art and how to use the materials in the room. Thank you for being such a great teacher to everyone!
